The Prince Albert Model Forest Funds Further Sections of the Flora.

The Prince Albert Model Forest (PAMF) provided funding to complete another section of the Flora, the section that includes the Liliaceae, Iridaceae, and Orchidaceae families, which is nearing completion. The PAMF also provided funding for the project to investigate the use of DELTA and Intkey software for the Flora, and to develop the character list; this work is ongoing. Our thanks go out to the PAMF for their generosity!

Phase I, now completed, involved defining and determining the feasibility of writing the Flora. In Phase II, a detailed work plan, proof of concept (the Pteridophytes section), and detailed planning documents were completed. This new funding allowed the start of Phase III.

'Annotated Catalogue of Saskatchewan Vascular Plants' Update Now Available.

The lastest update of the "Annotated Catalogue of Saskatchewan Vascular Plants" (735K Adobe Acrobat) by Dr. Vernon Harms has been added to the 'Information Resources' section of the website. Current as of November 20, 2006.

2007 Annual General Meeting of the Flora of Saskatchewan Association Inc.

The third Annual General Meeting of the Flora of Saskatchewan Association took place 8 September 2007 in Regina. The project has several new board members and has started to gain some momentum.
